starting principle
This page is from my personal notes, and has not been specifically reviewed for public consumption. It might be incomplete, wrong, outdated, or stupid. Caveat lector.- Julian Shapiro recommends keeping a set of six 'Starting principles' that you use to make decisions. That's about all that you can remember. Whenever you hear new #life-advice, ask yourself if it should replace one of the six existing principles.
- Possibilities I like:
- “Half doing something is an expensive way of not doing it.”—Angela Jiang
- Luck is a function of surface area.
- In your career, prioritize what compounds.
