Obsidian

It seems like all of my Roam problems are solved.

• I can write real posts, with paragraphs.
• I can use latex inline: $e=mc^2$!
• I can programmatically modify the markdown files
• Obsidian is fast
• It has a mobile app

And that a Roam blog is now going to be super easy (if less original) to publish.

How does this affect how I write notes?

folders: I can separate topics: like

• trip reports
• work on a particular project

blogging: it's really possible to write genuine blog posts here. I want to tag pages to be exported in different gardens: blog posts, public notes, private notes, etc.
