goals for raising kids

- Get them reading young---ideally by age 2 (like NameRedacted).
- Learn an instrument from a young age. Let them choose (within reason). But show them what it's like to learn something hard---show them that practice really does change what's possible.
- Involve them in some sort of religious practice, e.g., Buddhism.
- Regularly tell them I love them.
